Best Performance by a Female in a Lead Role
Haven’t yet seen the performances of Amy Adams, Hope Davis and Ellen Page. Didn’t care for Knocked Up, so my vote goes to Emma, (even though the nom seems to have come a year late).
Best Performance by a Male in a Lead Role
Haven’t yet seen the performance of Brad Pitt. I liked Gone, Baby, Gone better than the other three (Brolin didn’t impress me with his Texas), so I go with Casey.
Best Performance by a Female in a Supporting Role
Haven’t yet seen Juno. I thought Nicole was very good in a somewhat disappointing Compass, but my vote goes to Tilda.
Best Performance by a Male in a Supporting Role
Haven’t yet seen the perfs of Mssrs. Rockwell and Simmons. Thought Bardem’s perf has been overhyped (as has No Country). I pick Wilkinson.
Best Picture
Haven’t yet seen Juno or The Assassination. Didn’t like Knocked Up much. Like Michael Clayton and Gone, Baby, Gone a lot more than No Country. Clayton gets the nod here.
